Mr. Robert L. Beers of Blandburg died Oct 4,1992 at the James E. Van Zan dt Veterans Hospital, Altoona. Born Nov 15, 1925 in Lyleville, he was t he son of Stewart O. and Linda E. (Van Scoyoc) Beers. On Oct 19, 1946 in P hiladelphia, he married Rose M. Brower, who died Dec 2,1975. Surviving a re a daughter, Elizabeth A. Nelson; and four grandchildren. Also survivi ng is his father of Blandburg. He was preceded in death by his wife, mothe r, and one brother, Donald. He retired as an equipment operator from PennD OT's Ashville Shed after 20 years. He was a member of the Blandburg Unit ed Methodist Church; an Army World War II veteran. Interment will be in Ca lvary Cemetery, Altoona. [Clearfield Progress, Oct 5, 1992)
