Mrs. Julia Van Scoyoc, age 69, of Bellwood RD, died 17 August 1944 at Alto ona Hospital, where she was admittted 13 August. She is the widow of Jo hn W. Van Scoyoc. Surviving children are: James B., John H., Mrs. J. R. Li ghtner, Mrs. Stewart Beers and Mrs. Paul Rickard, both of Blandburg, Webst er, Mrs. John Balsea, Mrs. Louis Beers, and Clair W. Julia was a memb er of the Baptist church at Mountaindale. Burial in Cambria Mills Cemeter y, Glasgow. (Altoona Mirror, 18 August 1944)

Julia married John Walter Van Scoyoc, son of John A Van Scoyoc and Susan Catherine Bowman. (John Walter Van Scoyoc was born in 1855 in PA, died on 13 May 1926 and was buried in Cambria Mills Baptist Cemetery, Reade Twp., Cambria County, PA.)
