John and Harry we re printers; Samuel was an apprentice printer. Everyone in the household w as born in PA, except for Ellen, who was born in Ireland.

According to his sister Susan's obituary, he was founder of the Johnsto wn Tribune.

John married Ellen ???. (Ellen ??? was born about 1833 in Ireland.)
