Will of Henry Shaffer
Int the name of God, Amen, I, Henry Shaffer of the Township of Conema ugh,County of Cambria, and State of Pennsylvania, being very sickly and we ak of body, but of Perfect mind and memory, thanks be to God, cawling (si c) unto mind the mortallity of my body and knowing that it is appointed f or all men to die, Do make and ordain this my Last Will and Tesament, th at is to say, Principally and first of all I give and recommend my sole in to the Hand of Almighty God that gave it and my body I recommend to the Ea rth to be buried in Decent Christian manner at the Discriction of my Execu tor and as ____ such ______ estate wherewith it has pleased God to ble fs me in this life, I give Desire and Dispose of the same in the followi ng manner and Form. I allow the Family to Live together in the Place f or one year after my Death with all the Property excepting my Executor sho uld find it ____ to make a small ____late next fall. First, I give and beq ueath to Catherine my Dearly beloved Wife, one bed and bedding, one __ a nd Stove. Also, after my lawfull Debts is Paid, one third of my Estat e. Also, I likewise constitute my beloved son Jacob to be my sole Execut or and to make Sale of all my Personal real Property by Publick Sale one y ear after my Death. Each and every Chird to have an equal Part excepti ng my beloved son John, he is to have the Bay mare and give extra to himse lf each of the three youngest girls to have _____[not shown]_______ thi er _____ I have my beloeved Daughter Susanna to have my Black _____ to he r.
