All we know about this procurator was that he existed and that while he
was ruling the province, Salome, sister of king Herod (whether this is
Herod the Great or one of his sons the tetrarchs is not clear), died and
left a great deal of valuable land in the area to Augustus Caesar's wife
Livia (also called Julia).
