MESSMER--Mr. Oliver J., 59, of 13141 Wornall Road, passed away Monday, Oc tober 31, 1977, at a hospital in Clinton, MO, after apparently sufferi ng a heart attack while on a fishing trip. He was a lifelong resident her e. Mr. Messmer operated Country Club Landscaping Co. 25 years before he r etired in 1970. In the 1930's he was a vaudeville tap dancer known as Foo ts Oliver. He was a member of the Actors Guild. He was an Army veter an of World War II and a member of the Veterans of Foreign Wars. He leav es his wife, Mrs. Alice A. Messmer of the home; a son, William E. Messme r, Kansas City, Kansas; three daughters, Mrs. Karen L. Summerville, Leawoo d; Mrs. Kathryn J. Felich, Lenexa; and Mrs. Cheryl S. O'Kane, Grandview; h is mother, Mrs. Leola Brandstatter, and two brothers, James C. Messmer a nd Jake H. Messmer, all of Freeman in Cass County; a sister, Mrs. Mary Ja ne Van, Diller, NE, and eight grandchildren. Funeral services 2 p.m. Thursday at the Blackman Wornall chapel. Inter ment Memorial Park Cemetery, Kansas City. Friends may call from 7-9 p. m.
