Deceased was born in Richland Township in 1875; Juniate Graduate

Prof. Lorenzo Jacob Lehman, aged 52 years a former school teacher in th is county whose health had been impaired for some time died at his ho me in Laverne, Cal., this mornig. Notice of his demise arrived here duri ng the forenoon. burial will take place at LaVerne on Thursday afternoo n, the message stated: Mr. Lehmanss health became impaired while teachi ng in the Osborne building Eighth Ward, about 1907 when he went West. Lat er his condition improved and he taught in the schools of LavVerne unt il a short time ago.
The deceased was born in Richland Township, this county in 1875 bein a s on of the late Rev. Hiram Lehman a minister of the Churh of the Brether n, who plassed away at Geistown in 1903. L. J. Lehmans mother was former ly Miss Elizabeth Knavel, She went to Callifornia with her son in 1907 a nd resides at Laverne. L.J. Lehman was a brother of Morris Lehman of Geis town, Mrs. Lewis Hostetler of Richland Township and Mrs. George Fyoc k, of California.
Lorenzo J. Lehman ws educated in the public schools of Richland Township a nd later matriculated at Juniata College, Huntingdon, an institution und er the control of the Churh of the Brethern. After graduating from the Hu ntingdon institution, Mr. Lehman was ordained an Elder at the Scalp Lev el Church of the Brethen and was active in sunday school work in this vici nity for a number of yhtears before his health failed.
Besides his mother, brother and sisters, PLrofessor Lehman is surviv ed by his widow, Mrs. Ella (FOrney) Lehman to whom he was married a few ye ars after his afrrive at LaVerne and by two children Elizabeth and Lowel ll Lehman, both at home.

Lorenzo married Ella Forney. (Ella Forney was born on an unknown date and died on 16 Aug 1927 in Laverne, CA. ⁶.)
