MRS. WILLIAM BETTS, OF KANTNER, DEAD

Mrs. William Betts, 76 years old, died at 2 o'clock this morning at her ho me in Kantner, following an illness with dropsy. Her husband died eig ht years ago. The following children survive: Charles of near Stoystow n: G.R. Betts, James Betts, and William Betts, all of Johnstown: John Bet ts of Kantner: Sarah, wife of Wesley Snyder, of West Virginia. She was a s ister of Chauncy Miller, of Johnstown, and Miss Divilla Betts, of Jenne rs Township.
Funeral services will be held in the Stoyestown Lutheran Church saturday a fternoon, interment to follow in the Odd Fellows' Cemetery here.
Miss Olive Miller and father, W. H. Miller, have returned home from a vis it to Battle Creek, Mich. P. V. Schlag and daughter, Miss Hazel Schlag a re home from Pittsburg.
Lavina married William Betts, son of Michael Henry Betts and Sarah Risheberger, on 11 Oct 1863 in Berlin, PA. (William Betts was born on 4 Jul 1837 in Kantner, Somerset County, PA 3 and died on 23 Jan 1904 in Johnstown, PA 4.)
