David J. Lehman
The body of David J. Lehman, aged seventy-five years, who died at 5 o'clo ck yesterday morning at the home of D. F. Shaffer, No 649 Coleman avenu e, of general debility, was taken over the Somerset & Cambria Branch th is afternoon to Holsopple for interment after short services at noon condu cted by the Revs. Samuel Seese and H. A. Buffington of the United Brethe rn Church. At Holsopple, the remains were taken dto the home of Martin Ca rrand and tomorrow morning the Rev Mr. Buffington and the Rev. Mr. Fawcet t, the latter the pastor at Holsopple, will conduct the services and inter ment will be made in the Custer Cemetery.
Mr. Lehman was born near Holsopple December 30, 1827, and lived nearly a ll his life there, coming to Johnstown on the death of his wife about a ye ar ago. He is survived by two daughters-- Delilah, wife of D. F. Shaffe r, and Mrs. Samuel Helsel, of Holsopple. He was one of a family of fourt een children, the following surviving: John SLehman, of Holsopple, Samu el of Bedford County; Henry of Hooversville; Tobias, of Davidsville; J acob of Rummel; Mrs Samuel Blough of Grove avenue; this city. Mrs An na Eash of Goshen, Ind; Mrs. Emma Foust, of Windber; Mrs. Fannie Trevorr ow of Foustwell and Mrs. Eva Seese of Windber.
David married Barbara Meyers. (Barbara Meyers was born about 1830 120 and died about 1902 136.)
