pgs. 259-260, Bedford County Court House. LAST WILL AND TESTAMENT OF ALBRIGHT GEORGE LATE OF BELFAST TOWNSHIP DATED APRIL 30, 1793. In the name of God Amen I Albright George of Belfast township & Bedford County State of Pennsylvania being sick and weak of body & considering the uncertainty of this mortal life and being of sound and perfect mind and memory blessed by God almighty for the same I do make this my Last Will and Testament that is to Say first I give and bequeath to my loving wife Caty George the sum of six pounds lowfull money of Pennsylvania to be paid as follows that is to say two pounds to be paid six months after my decease other two pounds to be paid one year after that the other two pounds to be paid one year after that ensuing which sum well be in lue of any and all demands she may have or make (unreadable) the premises I also give to my eldest son and equal part of my personal Estate with my five daughters I also give and bequeath to my second son Micheal George apart of my Improvement it being the South East satiated in Belfast township in Bedford County as far as the Consentable line I also give my younger son Philip George the North End of my Improvement together with the buildings satiated in Belfast township in Bedford County to hold to them the said Micheal & Philip George there heirs and assigns I also give and bequeath to my five daughter Caty George and Dorrity George & Barbary George & Mary George Each of them an equal part of my personal Estate to be given them four weeks after my descent it is also my will that all the property that my wife brought with her when we where marred M to be given her after my decent of which goods a list is to be made out I also appoint my Son in Law James Longstrath to be my Executor of this my Last Will and Testament hereby revoking all former wills by me made. Publishers Notes-
The Ages for the George
families do not add up to match this census. For example, Paul
George is the Brother of Philip George, if his birth date is
really 1761, he would be 68-69 in 1830 not 50-60. Now he may
have placed X in wrong Column or this may be the wrong Paul
George however, this is unlikely because the historical records
at the time show no other Georges in the area.
The HTML Publisher believes
that for Page 210 of the Census, the numbers were added to the
wrong column & should be 2 columns to the left. I believe this
is so because of two reasons. 1) it would be odd for 5
households to not have any members under 11 years of age as is
seen in the chart above. 2) the ages on the chart above do not
match any of the believed ages of the George family. If however
you move the numbers 2 columns to the left, all of the Georges
ages come in line with their believed ages. examples
