They call you Almighty God. but to me you are a sweet soft whisper.
I see you in the love of a great Christian friendship. |
I see you in a quiet snicker of a funny thought during a dull sermon. |
I see you in the soft “I know” and the “I love you” during a vomited
prayer of contempt.
I see you in the spiritual hug of forgiveness after sin number four
million and one.
I see you in the broken heart over a child of yours who won’t listen.
I even see you in the distorted picture of you that I see when
I look in the mirror.
Yah, they can call you Almighty God. I’ll just call you my best
friend.
