This little
guy was under the Great Nesting Tree & looked completely lost. He was
only eating what fell from the tree or whatever insects wondered in his
path. I was able to get about 15 feet from him without freaking him out
to much. I believe he he may have been abandoned. Next to the tree is a
nest that has fallen out of the tree but the nest was more the size of a
Cormorant's nest then a Heron's nest.
Double-crested Cormorant (Mother & Young)
The Mother/Father Cormorant (Seen in the first photo) was standing
out on a limb with a beak full of food. It was forcing the crying young
to reluctantly walk out on the limb to get the food. In order to
accomplish this task, the young had to constantly flap it's wings to
maintain balance. I believe this exercise was done to strength the wings
of the young for flight. I was hoping the young would take flight while
I was there but no luck, maybe in the next few days he will join the
world of flight.

Other Photos
There are some spots at Legg Lake that I always see the same birds so
I thought I'd place these spots on a map for others to find.
