Great Blue Heron Fight I was setting up to photograph this single Great Blue Heron when a second one showed up & landed about 3 feet away from the first one. I thought at first that they might be a pair until the challenger squared off & pointed his head straight up in the air. I thought to myself "this can't be good". I looked over at the first Heron & saw a bit of a puzzled look on his face & then he struck & the fight was on. Even though neither bird was injured it was heart breaking to watch. |
