The Station Fire burned above the trail so
when the rains came two weeks ago it washed a lot of mud & debris into
the canyon. It was heart-breaking to see this once grand trail in such
sad condition. The stream jumped it's banks & has cut new pathways
destroying sections of the trail. I didn't get a chance to check out the
El Prieto trail that connects the
Gabrielino Trail with Millard Canyon but the road to Millard Canyon
was also closed when we tried to get there the first week of December. |
